Fairfax County, Va., defeases four series of public improvement bonds

Kansas City, Kan. Feb. 3 - Fairfax County, Va., said it defeased portions of its public improvement bonds, series 2003B, 2004A, 2004B and 2007A.

The following series 2003B bonds will be redeemed June 1, 2013:

• $9.76 million of 4% bonds due June 1, 2014;

• $9.75 million of 4% bonds due June 1, 2019;

• $9,745,000 of 4% bonds due June 1, 2020;

• $9,745,000 of 4.125% bonds due June 1, 2021;

• $9,745,000 of 4.75% bonds due June 1, 2022; and

• $9,745,000 of 4.75% bonds due June 1, 2023.

The following series 2004A bonds will be redeemed April 1, 2014:

• $6,825,000 of 4% bonds due April 1, 2019;

• $6,825,000 of 4% bonds due April 1, 2020;

• $6,825,000 of 4.125% bonds due April 1, 2021;

• $6,825,000 of 4.25% bonds due April 1, 2022;

• $6,825,000 of 4.25% bonds due April 1, 2023; and

• $6,825,000 of 4.5% bonds due April 1, 2024.

The following series 2004B bonds will be redeemed Oct. 1, 2014:

• $9.27 million of 4.5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2020;

• $9.27 million of 4% bonds due Oct. 1, 2021;

• $9.27 million of 4.125% bonds due Oct. 1, 2022; and

• $9.27 million of 4.25% bonds due Oct. 1, 2023.

The following series 2007A bonds will be redeemed April 1, 2015:

• $11.73 million of 4% bonds due April 1, 2018;

• $11.73 million of 4.125% bonds due April 1, 2019;

• $11.73 million of 4.25% bonds due April 1, 2020;

• $11.73 million of 4.25% bonds due April 1, 2021;

• $11.73 million of 4.25% bonds due April 1, 2022;

• $11.73 million of 4.375% bonds due April 1, 2023; and

• $11.73 million of 4.375% bonds due April 1, 2024.
