Springfield, Mass., defeases $26.44 million of series 2012 G.O. bonds

Minneapolis, Dec. 20 - The City of Springfield, Mass., defeased $26,435,000 of its series 2012 general obligation state qualified refunding bonds, according to a Rule 15c2-12 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The following bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Aug. 1, 2015:
• $2,955,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2016;
• $3,105,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2017;
• $3,265,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2018;
• $150,000 of 3.8% bonds due Aug. 1, 2019;
• $3,285,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2019;
• $270,000 of 3.9% bonds due Aug. 1, 2020;
• $3,335,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2020;
• $250,000 of 4% bonds due Aug. 1, 2021;
• $3.54 million of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2021;
• $370,000 of 4% bonds due Aug. 1, 2022;
• $3.61 million of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2022;
• $25,000 of 4.05% bonds due Aug. 1, 2023; and
• $2.05 million of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2023.
