Canadian Solar's 6% convertibles holders put all $1 million notes

Minneapolis, Dec. 18 - Canadian Solar Inc. announced $1 million of its 6% convertible senior notes due 2017 were put back to the company, according to a filing with the London Stock Exchange.

The put option expired at 5 p.m. ET on Dec. 17.

Canadian Solar accepted these securities for purchase and, before 11 a.m. ET on Dec. 24, will forward cash in payment of the purchase price to the paying agent for distribution to all holders that exercised the put option.

Following this purchase, none of the securities remain outstanding.

The Bank of New York Mellon is the trustee.

Canadian Solar is a Markham, Ont.-based solar power components producer. The company conducts all of its manufacturing operations in China.
