Kansas Department of Transportation defeases $173.77 million of bonds

Minneapolis, Nov. 7 - The State of Kansas Department of Transportation defeased $173,765,000 of its series 2004A highway revenue bonds, according to a notice.
The following bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on March 1, 2014:
• $3,225,000 of 4.5% bonds due March 1, 2018;
• $540,000 of 4.55% bonds due March 1, 2019;
• $345,000 of 4.65% bonds due March 1, 2020;
• $39,655,000 of 5% bonds due March 1, 2020;
• $125,000 of 4.7% bonds due March 1, 2021;
• $36.9 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2021;
• $65,000 of 4.8% bonds due March 1, 2022;
• $49,935,000 of 5% bonds due March 1, 2022;
• $5,395,000 of 4.85% bonds due March 1, 2023; and
• $37.58 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2023.
The Office of the State Treasurer is the bond registrar and paying agent.
