University System of Maryland defeases two series of revenue bonds

Kansas City, Kan., Nov. 2 - The University System of Maryland defeased its 2005 series A and 2006 series A auxiliary facility and tuition revenue bonds, according to a notice.

The bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

The following 2005 A bonds will be redeemed on April 1, 2015:

• $2.57 million of 5% bonds due April 1, 2017; and

• $7,175,000 of 4.125% bonds due April 1, 2025.

The following 2006 A bonds will be redeemed on Oct. 1, 2016:

• $4.12 million of 5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2018;

• $4.33 million of 5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2019;

• $4,555,000 of 5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2020;

• $4,785,000 of 5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2021;

• $5,035,000 of 5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2022;

• $5.29 million of 5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2023;

• $5.56 million of 5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2024;

• $5.85 million of 5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2025; and

• $6.15 million of 5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2026.
