University of Alabama defeases, sets redemption date for 2004A bonds

Kansas City, Kan., Oct. 17 - The Board of Trustees of the University of Alabama has defeased portions of its 2004A general revenue bonds, according to a notice.

The following bonds are affected:

• $2,355,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2015;

• $590,000 of 5.25% bonds due July 1, 2015;

• $3,095,000 of bonds due July 1, 2016;

• $3.25 million of bonds due July 1, 2017;

• $3,425,000 of bonds due July 1, 2018;

• $3,605,000 of bonds due July 1, 2019;

• $3,795,000 of bonds due July 1, 2020;

• $3,995,000 of bonds due July 1, 2021;

• $4,205,000 of bonds due July 1, 2022;

• $4,935,000 of bonds due July 1, 2023;

• $5,185,000 of bonds due July 1, 2024;

• $5.44 million of bonds due July 1, 2025;

• $5.71 million of bonds due July 1, 2026;

• $20,755,000 of bonds due July 1, 2029; and

• $43.85 million of bonds due July 1, 2034.

The bonds will be redeemed on July 1, 2014 at par plus interest from Jan. 1, 2013 through July 1, 2014.
