North Carolina Eastern Municipal defeases two power system bond series

Kansas City, Kan., Oct.4 - North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power defeased and will redeem its series 2003C and 2003D power system revenue refunding bonds, according to a notice.

The bonds will be redeemed on Jan. 1, 2013 at par plus accrued interest.

The affected 2003C bonds mature on Jan. 1 in the years 2014 through 2017. The affected series 2003D bonds mature on Jan. 1 in the years 2015, 2023 and 2026.

U.S. Bank, NA is the bond trustee.
