Nashville and Davidson County, Tenn., defeases four series G.O. bonds

Madison, Wis., Sept. 29 - The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tenn., gave notice that it defeased its general obligation bonds, series 2001B, 2005A, 2005C and 2006B.

Specifically, the issuer defeased

• $9.515 million of 5.25% 2001B bonds due Oct. 15, 2012;

• $3.62 million of 5.25% 2001B bonds due Oct. 15, 2013;

• $3.835 million 5.5% 2001B bonds due Oct. 15, 2014;

• $4.07 million of 5.5% 2001B bonds due Oct. 15, 2015;

• $4.31 million of 5.5% 2001B bonds due Oct. 15, 2016;

• $4.495 million of 5% 2005A bonds due Jan. 1, 2023;

• $4.72 million of 5% 2005A bonds due Jan. 1, 2024;

• $14.105 million of 5% 2005C bonds due Feb. 1, 2023;

• $10.41 million of 5% 2006B bonds due Aug. 1, 2018;

• $10.94 million of 5% 2006B bonds due Aug. 1, 2019;

• $11.5 million of 5% 2006B bonds due Aug. 1, 2020; and

• $12.09 million of 5% 2006B bonds due Aug. 1, 2021.

The defeased 2001B bonds will be redeemed on Oct. 31, the defeased 2005A bonds will be redeemed on Jan. 1, 2015, the defeased 2005C bonds will be redeemed on Feb. 1, 2015, and the defeased 2006B bonds will be redeemed on Aug. 1, 2016.
