Colorado Springs, Colo., buys $66.46 million utilities system bonds

By Marisa Wong

Madison, Wis., Sept. 22 - City of Colorado Springs, Colo., said it purchased its $66.455 million of variable-rate demand utilities system refunding revenue bonds, series 2009C, at par plus accrued interest on Sept. 22.

The bonds were called for mandatory tender on Thursday, because the city will substitute a new standby bond purchase agreement for the bonds' existing liquidity facility on Sept. 27.
