Panhandle-Plains authority, Texas, calls 16 series student loan bonds

Madison, Wis., Sept. 21 - Panhandle-Plains Higher Education Authority, Inc. gave notice that it will redeem 16 series of its variable-rate student loan revenue bonds.

The following bonds are affected:

• $48.4 million of 2003A-1 bonds due June 1, 2035, to be redeemed Oct. 21;

• $62.8 million of 2003A-2 bonds due June 1, 2035, to be redeemed Oct. 26;

• $32.8 million of 2003A-3 bonds due Jan. 1, 2038, to be redeemed Oct. 6;

• $10 million of 2003B-1 bonds due June 1, 2035, to be redeemed Oct. 26;

• $58.9 million of 2004A-1 bonds due June 1, 2036, to be redeemed Oct. 13;

• $26.3 million of 2004A-3 bonds due Jan. 1, 2039, to be redeemed Oct. 12;

• $37 million of 2004A-4 bonds due Jan. 1, 2039, to be redeemed Oct. 17;

• $14.8 million of 2005A-1 bonds due Jan. 1, 2040, to be redeemed Oct. 5;

• $26.3 million of 2005A-4 bonds due Dec. 1, 2040, to be redeemed Oct. 27;

• $27 million of 2005A-5 bonds due Dec. 1, 2040, to be redeemed Oct. 19;

• $36.15 million of 2006A-1 bonds due Dec. 1, 2040, to be redeemed Oct. 5;

• $28.825 million of 2007A-3 bonds due Aug. 1, 2057, to be redeemed Oct. 7;

• $25.1 million of 2007A-4 bonds due Aug. 1, 2057, to be redeemed Oct. 6;

• $10.125 million of 2007A-5 bonds due Aug. 1, 2057, to be redeemed Oct. 7; and

• $12.7 million of 2007A-6 bonds due Aug. 1, 2057, to be redeemed Oct. 5.

The bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

The authority, based in Canyon, Texas, provides loans for college students in the Panhandle and South Plains regions of Texas.
