Maine Health and Higher Educational calls some of four series of bonds

Madison, Wis., Aug. 10 - Maine Health and Higher Educational Facilities Authority said it will redeem portions of its series 1998B, 1998C, 1999A and 2001D revenue bonds on Sept. 9.

The bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

The 1998B bonds include:

• $875,000 of 4.875% bonds due July 1, 2017;

• $350,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2019;

• $820,000 of 4.875% bonds due July 1, 2023; and

• $1.27 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2028.

The 1998C bonds include:

• $300,000 of 4.6% bonds due July 1, 2012;

• $315,000 of 4.6% bonds due July 1, 2013;

• $1.42 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2017;

• $420,000 of 5.1% bonds due July 1, 2018; and

• $6.01 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2029.

The affected 1999A bonds are:

• $795,000 of 4.7% bonds due July 1, 2012;

• $835,000 of 4.75% bonds due July 1, 2013;

• $1.79 million of 4.625% bonds due July 1, 2015;

• $4.115 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2019;

• $4.34 million of 5.25% bonds due July 1, 2023; and

• $8.635 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2030.

To be redeemed are the following 2001D bonds:

• $1.195 million of 4.25% bonds due July 1, 2012;

• $1.245 million of 4.375% bonds due July 1, 2013;

• $1.3 million of 4.5% bonds due July 1, 2014;

• $1.355 million of 4.5% bonds due July 1, 2015;

• $2.74 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2021; and

• $1.915 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2031.

The Augusta, Maine-based authority issues tax-exempt bonds to help non-profit colleges, universities and licensed health care facilities finance the acquisition, construction and renovation of their facilities.
