Georgetown Hospital to defease portions of South Carolina Jobs bonds

Madison, Wis., July 20 - Georgetown Hospital System said that it plans to defease portions of the $25.76 million series 1998, $23.87 million series 1999 and $45 million series 2001 Georgetown Memorial Hospital revenue bonds issued on its behalf by South Carolina Jobs-Economic Development Authority.

The affected bonds will be defeased on Aug. 18 and redeemed on Sept. 19.

The hospital system serves residents of Georgetown and surrounding South Carolina counties. The purpose of the Columbia, S.C.-based authority is to develop the business and economic welfare of the State of South Carolina.
