Freescale to redeem $750 million notes due 2014 with new note proceeds

San Diego, June 7 - Freescale Semiconductor Holdings I, Ltd. announced that its wholly owned indirect subsidiary, Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., will use the proceeds of its offering of $750 million of senior unsecured notes, along with cash on hand, to redeem $750 million of outstanding senior unsecured notes due 2014 and to pay related fees and expenses.

Austin, Texas-based Freescale is a designer and manufacturer of embedded semiconductors for the automotive, consumer, industrial and networking markets.
