North Carolina State Education Assistance calls five series of tax-exempt student loan bonds

Madison, Wis., May 27 - North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority said it will redeem in full its outstanding tax-exempt student loan revenue and refunding bonds, series 2008-2 A-1, 2008-2 A-2, 2008-3 A-1, 2008-3 A-2 and 2008-5, on June 2.

The bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

To be redeemed are the following bonds:

• $125 million of variable-rate 2008-2 A-1 bonds due Sept. 1, 2035;

• $145.555 million of variable-rate 2008-2 A-2 bonds due Sept. 1, 2035;

• $17.095 million of variable-rate 2008-3 A-1 bonds due July 1, 2027;

• $75.945 million of variable-rate 2008-3 A-2 bonds due Sept. 1, 2035; and

• $145.955 million of variable-rate 2008-5 bonds due Sept. 1, 2035.

The Durham, N.C.-based authority is North Carolina's agency for college student financial aid.
