Ipalco calls $43.91 million remaining 8 5/8% senior secured notes

Cleveland, May 23 - Ipalco Enterprises Inc. said it will redeem its $43.91 million of outstanding 8 5/8% senior secured notes due Nov. 14, 2011.

The company recently completed a tender offer for $331.09 million of $375 million of initially outstanding 8 5/8% notes.

The remaining notes will be redeemed on June 17.

Bank of New York Mellon is the redemption agent.

Based in Indianapolis, Ipalco Enterprises is a holding company that, through its principal subsidiary Indianapolis Power & Light Co., a regulated electric utility, engages primarily in generating, transmitting, distributing and selling electric energy.
