Japan Airlines repurchases ¥596 million convertibles due 2011

San Diego, May 23 - Japan Airlines Corp. said it repurchased a total of ¥596 million of zero-coupon guaranteed convertible bonds due 2011.

According to a company filing with the London Stock Exchange, the company repurchased ¥595 million of the bonds on April 25 and ¥1 million of the bonds on May 10.

Following this, the outstanding balance of the notes is ¥16,058,000,000.

Japan Airlines is based in Tokyo.
