Interstate Power and Light redeems 1.6 million 7.1% preferreds

San Diego, April 29 - Interstate Power and Light Co. redeemed all 1.6 million shares of its 7.1% series C cumulative preferred stock on Friday, according to a press release.

The company paid about $40.4 million, including accrued dividends, to redeem the preferreds.

The public utility is located in Centerville, Iowa.
