Philadelphia to redeem $117.46 million of two series of G.O. bonds

Madison, Wis., April 11 - The City of Philadelphia said it will redeem $85.87 million of its series 1998 and $31.59 million of its series 2001 general obligation bonds.

The 2001 bonds will be redeemed on April 19, and the 1998 bonds will be redeemed on May 15.

Both series will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

To be redeemed are the following 1998 bonds:

• $12.975 million of 5.125% bonds due May 15, 2012;

• $13.64 million of 5.125% bonds due May 15, 2013;

• $10.26 million of 5.125% bonds due May 15, 2014;

• $10.785 million of 5.125% bonds due May 15, 2015;

• $8.9 million of 4.75% bonds due May 15, 2016; and

• $29.31 million of 4.75% bonds due May 15, 2020.

To be redeemed are the following 2001 bonds:

• $2.675 million of 4.4% bonds due Sept. 15, 2012;

• $4.455 million of 5.25% bonds due Sept. 15, 2012;

• $1.9 million of 4.5% bonds due Sept. 15, 2013;

• $1.785 million of 4.75% bonds due Sept. 15, 2016;

• $10.14 million of 4.85% bonds due Sept. 15, 2019; and

• $10.635 million of 4.9% bonds due Sept. 15, 2030.
