Burke County authority's Georgia Power bonds have mandatory tender

Madison, Wis., March 25 - The Development Authority of Burke County, Ga.'s $68.535 million of Georgia Power Co., Plant Vogtle Project pollution control revenue bonds, first series 2008, are subject to mandatory tender for purchase on April 1, according to a Georgia Power notice.

The bonds are subject to mandatory tender, because the interest rate on the bonds will be changed to a weekly rate, effective Oct. 1.

The purchase price for the bonds will be par plus accrued interest up to the effective date.

Georgia Power, an electric subsidiary of Southern Co., is based in Atlanta.
