BlackRock Advisors announces details on preferred shares redemption

Kansas City, Kan., Dec. 19 - BlackRock Advisors, LLC provided details for the redemption of auction-rate preferred shares issued by 15 of its tax-exempt closed-end funds.

The liquidation price is $25,000 per share plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

The BlackRock Municipal Income Investment Quality Trust will redeem $42,275,000 of its series M-7 shares on Jan. 10

The BlackRock Municipal Bond Trust will redeem $39.95 million of its series R-7 shares on Jan. 13 and $39,950,000 of its series T-7 shares on Jan. 11.

The BlackRock Municipal Income Trust will redeem the following:

• $54,175,000 of series F-7 shares on Jan. 9;

• $54,175,000 of series M-7 shares on Jan. 10;

• $54,175,000 of series R-7 shares on Jan. 13;

• $54,175,000 of series T-7 shares on Jan.11; and

• $54,175,000 of series W-7 shares on Jan.12.

The BlackRock Investment Quality Municipal Trust, Inc. will redeem $55.85 million of series T-28 shares on Jan. 18 and $70.1 million of series T-7 shares on Jan. 11.

The BlackRock Municipal Income Trust II will redeem the following:

• $37,825,000 of series M-7 shares on Jan. 10;

• $37,825,000 of series R-7 shares on Jan. 13;

• $37,825,000 of series T-7 shares on Jan. 11; and

• $37,825,000 of series W-7 shares on Jan.12.

The BlackRock Strategic Municipal Trust will redeem $42,975,000 of series W-7 shares on Jan. 12.

The BlackRock Municipal Income Quality Trust will redeem the following:

• $45.75 million of series F-7 shares on Jan. 9;

• $45.75 million of series M-7 shares on Jan. 10; and

• $45.75 million of series R-7 shares on Jan. 13.

The BlackRock MuniYield Investment Quality Fund will redeem $47.1 million of series A-7 shares on Jan. 10 and $9,425,000 of series B-7 shares on Jan. 5.

The BlackRock MuniHoldings Fund, Inc. will redeem the following:

• $36,825,000 of series A-7 shares on Jan. 11;

• $36,825,000 of series B-7 shares on Jan. 6; and

• $10.05 million of series C-7 shares on Jan. 10.

The BlackRock MuniYield Quality Fund II, Inc. will redeem the following:

• $36,425,000 of series A-28 shares on Jan. 17;

• $36,425,000 of series C-7 shares on Jan. 9; and

• $7.3 million of series D-7 shares on Jan. 10.

The BlackRock MuniHoldings Quality Fund II, Inc. will redeem the following:

• $33,625,000 of series A-7 shares on Jan. 6;

• $33,625,000 of series B-7 shares on Jan. 5; and

• $63.75 million of series C-7 shares on Jan. 11.

The BlackRock MuniHoldings Fund II, Inc. will redeem the following:

• $27,525,000 of series A-7 shares on Jan. 11; and

• $27,525,000 of series B-7 shares on Jan. 9.

The BlackRock MuniHoldings Quality Fund, Inc. will redeem the following:

• $43.5 million of series A-7 shares on Jan. 6; and

• $43.5 million of series B-7 shares on Jan. 10.

The BlackRock MuniVest Fund, Inc. will redeem the following:

• $36.5 million of series A-28 shares on Jan. 9;

• $36.5 million of series B-28 shares on Jan. 17;

• $36.5 million of series D-28 shares on Jan. 3;

• $54.75 million of series E-7 shares on Jan. 3; and

• $43,075,000 of series F-7 shares on Jan. 11.

The BlackRock MuniVest Fund II, Inc. will redeem the following:

• $36 million of series A-28 shares on Jan. 12;

• $36 million of series C-7 shares on Jan. 12; and

• $32 million of series D-7 shares on Jan. 10.
