Sandisk buys back $221.9 million of convertible senior notes due 2013

Kansas City, Kan., Nov. 9 - Sandisk Corp. repurchased $221.9 million principal amount of its 1% convertible senior notes due May 15, 2013 during the third quarter, according to a 10-Q filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The purchase was made for $211.1 million in cash.

The amount outstanding was $928.1 million as of the end of the quarter on Oct. 2.

SanDisk based in Sunnyvale, Calif. The company makes flash storage cards used in consumer electronics.
