Fannie Mae to redeem $500 million of its medium-term notes Nov. 4

Kansas City, Kan., Oct. 25 - Fannie Mae said it would redeem $500 million of its medium-term notes, according to a news release.

The notes will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest up to the redemption date.

The following securities will be redeemed Nov. 4:

• $50 million of 2% notes due Aug. 4, 2020;

• $50 million of 1.2% notes due June 4, 2014;

• $50 million of 0.5% notes due Nov. 4, 2013;

• $50 million of 1.25% notes due Nov. 4, 2014;

• $25 million of 1.125% notes due May 4, 2016;

• $25 million of 4% notes due May 4, 2026; and

• $250 million of 0.875% notes due Nov. 4, 2013.

Fannie Mae provides funds to mortgage bankers and other lenders to be used in loans to homebuyers.
