Chesapeake Energy to redeem all $54.89 million of 7% notes due 2014

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 2 - Chesapeake Energy Corp. said it has called all $54,889,000 of its 7% senior notes due Aug. 15, 2014 for redemption on Sept. 16.

The company will pay 102.333 for the notes, plus interest to the redemption date.

The Bank of New York Mellon (800 254-2826) is the trustee and agent.

Chesapeake Energy produces natural gas and is based in Oklahoma City.
