Sunrise, Fla., defeases portion of 1998 utility system revenue bonds

Madison, Wis., Aug. 27 - The City of Sunrise, Fla., said it has defeased and refunded a portion of its $157.585 million series 1998 utility system revenue and revenue refunding bonds.

Affected are the following bonds:

• $830,000 of 4.7% bonds due Oct. 1, 2011;

• $2.365 million of 5.5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2012;

• $2.495 million of 5.5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2013;

• $34.715 million of 5.5% bonds due Oct. 1, 2018; and

• $20.64 million of $47.795 million of outstanding 5.2% bonds due Oct. 1, 2022.
