New Mexico Educational Assistance rescinds redemption of 2008A bonds

Madison, Wis., Aug. 11 - The New Mexico Educational Assistance Foundation has rescinded the planned full redemption of its senior series 2008 A-1, A-2 and A-3 education loan bonds, according to a notice.

The bonds were originally to be redeemed on Aug. 25 at par plus accrued interest up to the redemption date.

Affected were $193 million of variable-rate 2008 A-1 bonds due April 1, 2036; $75 million of variable-rate 2008 A-2 bonds due April 1, 2036; and $117.975 million of variable-rate 2008 A-3 bonds due April 1, 2036.

Zions First National Bank was the trustee.
