Illinois calls $137 million in first series of August 2000 G.O. bonds

Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 5 - The State of Illinois said it has called $137 million of its first series of August 2000 general obligation bonds at par plus interest to Aug. 1, the redemption date.

Affected are the following securities:

• $13 million of 5.5% notes due Aug. 1, 2014;

• $13 million of 5.5% notes due Aug. 1, 2015;

• $13 million of 5.5% notes due Aug. 1, 2016;

• $13 million of 5.5% notes due Aug. 1, 2017;

• $13 million of 5.5% notes due Aug. 1, 2018;

• $13 million of 5.55% notes due Aug. 1, 2019;

• $14 million of 5.55% notes due Aug. 1, 2020;

• $14 million of 5.6% notes due Aug. 1, 2021;

• $12 million of 5.625% notes due Aug. 1, 2022;

• $12 million of 5.625% notes due Aug. 1, 2023; and

• $7 million of 5.625% notes due Aug. 1, 2024.

The office of the state treasurer is the registrar and paying agent.
