Wichita, Kan., to redeem some of its 0.45% series 234 temporary notes

Knoxville, Tenn., July 13 - The City of Wichita, Kan., said it plans to redeem some of its $66.62 million in 0.450% series 234 general obligation renewal and improvement temporary notes due March 3, 2011.

The notes will be redeemed at par plus interest to Aug. 19, the redemption date. The redemption is conditional upon the city issuing new notes to fund the repurchase.
