Regional Transportation Authority, Ill., calls $6.85 million bonds

Knoxville, Tenn., April 29 - The Regional Transportation Authority of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will Counties in Illinois announced that it will redeem $6.85 million of its $132.77 million in series 2005B general obligation variable-rate demand refunding bonds at par plus interest to June 1, the redemption date.

Amalgamated Bank of Chicago is the trustee.

Based in Chicago, the Regional Transportation Authority is the second largest public transportation system in North America.
