Douglas County, Neb., defeases Omaha Public Schools 2001B G.O. bonds

Milwaukee, April 21 - Douglas County, Neb., gave notice that it has refunded and defeased its School District No. 0001 (Omaha Public Schools) general obligation bonds, series 2001B.

The defeased bonds will be redeemed on June 15, 2011 at par, plus accrued interest up to the redemption date.

Affected are the following 2001B bonds:

• $2 million of 4.5% bonds due Dec. 15, 2011;

• $2 million of 4.5% bonds due Dec. 15, 2012;

• $3.19 million of 4.6% bonds due Dec. 15, 2013;

• $3.42 million of 4.7% bonds due Dec. 15, 2014;

• $3.565 million of 4.75% bonds due Dec. 15, 2015;

• $3.93 million of 4.875% bonds due Dec. 15, 2016;

• $4.205 million of 4.9% bonds due Dec. 15, 2017;

• $4.6 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 15, 2018;

• $5.31 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 15, 2019;

• $9.105 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 15, 2020;

• $9.695 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 15, 2021;

• $10.32 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 15, 2022;

• $11.98 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 15, 2023; and

• $12.68 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 15, 2024.
