Massachusetts Turnpike to redeem $918.02 million in highway bonds

Knoxville, Tenn., April 15 - Massachusetts Turnpike Authority said it will redeem in full its $726.21 million in subordinated 1999 series A metropolitan highway system revenue bonds and its $191.81 million in subordinated 1997 series B metropolitan highway system revenue bonds at par plus interest to May 14, the redemption date.

The bonds range in coupon from 4.6% to 5.25% and have scheduled maturities ranging from Jan. 1, 2011 to Jan. 1, 2039.

The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA (800 254-2826) is the trustee.
