Chicago calls $87.91 million of 1998, 1999A G.O. project bonds

Milwaukee, Feb. 1 - The City of Chicago gave notice that it will redeem $52.975 million of its general obligation project and refunding bonds, series 1998, and $34.935 million of its general obligation project and refunding bonds, series 1999A, on Feb. 26.

The 5.25% 1998 bonds, which are due 2028, will be redeemed at 100.5, plus interest accrued up to the redemption date.

The city will redeem its 1999A bonds at par plus interest accrued up to the redemption date. Affected are $23.3 million of 5.125% bonds due 2029 and $11.635 million of 5.375% bonds due 2034.
