MEAG to redeem portions of nine series of general power revenue bonds

Madison, Wis., Dec. 3 - The Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia said it will redeem portions of its outstanding general power revenue bonds on Jan. 1.

The bonds will be redeemed at the redemption price plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

To be redeemed at par are the following bonds:

• $7.15 million of $14.66 million of 1993 series A 5.5% bonds due Jan. 1, 2012;

• $255,000 of $10.795 million of 1993 series BB 5.7% bonds due Jan. 1, 2019;

• $315,000 of $12.99 million of 1993 series C 5.7% bonds due Jan. 1, 2019;

• All $285,000 of series V 6.5% bonds due Jan. 1, 2012;

• $1.21 million of $2.51 million of series V 6.5% bonds due Jan. 1, 2012;

• $4.325 million of $9.205 million of series V 6.5% bonds due Jan. 1, 2012;

• $210,000 of $51.725 million of series W 6.6% bonds due Jan. 1, 2018;

• $15,000 of $3.165 million of series W 6.6% bonds due Jan. 1, 2018;

• $29.605 million of $91.73 million of series Y insured 6.4% bonds due Jan. 1, 2013;

• $1.58 million of $5.425 million of series Y insured 6.4% bonds due Jan. 1, 2013;

• $29.275 million of $34.975 million of series Z 5.5% bonds due Jan. 1, 2012; and

• $1.33 million of $2.74 million of series Z 5.5% bonds due Jan. 1, 2012.

A total of $10.99 million of variable-rate 1988 series B bonds due Jan. 1, 2013 will be redeemed at 85.645. To be redeemed at 92.012 are $13.4 million of outstanding series Q bonds due Jan. 1, 2012.
