Spokane, Wash., school district defeases 2003 unlimited tax G.O. bonds

Madison, Wis., Nov. 12 - Spokane School District No. 81 of Spokane County, Wash., said it will defease a portion of its 2003 unlimited tax general obligation bonds on Dec. 17.
To be defeased are the following bonds:
• $7 million of 5.25% bonds due Dec. 1, 2013;
• $5 million of 5.25% bonds due Dec. 1, 2014;
• $5.5 million of 5.25% bonds due Dec. 1, 2015;
• $6 million of 5.125% bonds due Dec. 1, 2016;
• $8 million of 5.25% bonds due Dec. 1, 2017;
• $7 million of 5.25% bonds due Dec. 1, 2018;
• $9.5 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2019;
• $11 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2020;
• $12.5 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2021; and
• $13.575 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2022.
All of the defeased bonds will be redeemed on June 1, 2013 at par.
