Alliant redeems nearly all 2.75% convertibles; holders convert $28,000

Chicago, Oct. 14 - Alliant Techsystems Inc. said it repurchased $279,735,000 principal amount of its outstanding 2.75% convertible senior subordinated notes due 2024.

Holders of the remaining $28,000 principal amount of notes have elected to convert the notes.

Alliant said it paid $280,995,750 to redeem the notes, including accrued interest.

The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA is trustee.

The company announced on Sept. 13 that it would redeem all $279,763,000 of the notes on Oct. 14.

The conversion rate was 12.5843 shares of Alliant common stock for each $1,000 principal amount of notes.

Holders could convert the notes until the close of business on Oct. 12.

The company's stock (NYSE: ATK) closed at $74.50 on Oct. 11.

Alliant is a Minneapolis-based aerospace and defense company.
