Petaquilla buys back $6 million of its senior notes, convertible notes

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 14 - Petaquilla Minerals Ltd. said it bought back $6 million of its senior secured notes and convertible senior secured notes for $6.21 million.
The total amount paid for the notes is comprised of $6 million of principal and $208,843.91 of interest.
The company has $69.76 million of its senior and convertible senior notes outstanding after this purchase.
Vancouver, B.C.-based Petaquilla is an emerging gold producer.
