Nabi repurchases $18.7 million in 2.875% convertible senior notes

Knoxville, Tenn., March 11 - Nabi Biopharmaceuticals said it bought back $18.7 million of its 2.875% convertible senior notes for $16.6 million in the fourth quarter, for a $1.6 million gain.

Nabi repurchased a total of $57.3 million of the notes for $51.6 million during 2008, leaving a balance of $16.3 million as of Dec. 27.

Nabi is a Boca Raton, Fla.-based biotechnology firm.
