Amazon to redeem remaining €240 million of its 6.875% convertibles

Chicago, Feb. 24 - Amazon.com, Inc. said it will redeem the remaining €239,998,000 principal amount of its outstanding 6.875% convertible subordinated notes due 2010 on March 27.

The company said it will pay par plus accrued interest from Feb. 16 through March 26.

Holders may convert the notes into common stock until the close of business on March 26. The current conversion price of the notes is €84.883.

The Bank of New York Mellon (800 254-2826) is the trustee and paying agent.

Amazon is a Seattle-based online retailer.
