State of New York redeems five series of refunding bonds with new 2009C G.O. bonds

Milwaukee, Dec. 17 - The State of New York gave notice that it has already redeemed some of its series 1997A, 1998A, 1998G and 2000B bonds and will redeem some of its series 1998A and 2000A bonds, using proceeds from the new issuance of $349.315 million series 2009C tax-exempt general obligation refunding bonds.

Affected were the following 1997A bonds, all redeemed at par:

• $13 million of bonds due 2017, redeemed on Dec. 4;

• $58.5 million of bonds due 2017, redeemed on Dec. 7; and

• $7.5 million of bonds due 2017, redeemed on Dec. 8.

The following 1998A bonds were redeemed or will be redeemed at par:

• $48.7 million of bonds due 2018, redeemed Dec. 4;

• $10 million of bonds due 2018, redeemed Dec. 7; and

• $10 million of bonds due 2018, to be redeemed Jan. 11.

Of the series 1998G bonds, $47.7 million of bonds due 2018 were redeemed Dec. 7.

Of the series 2000A bonds, $74.05 million of bonds due 2020 will be redeemed Jan. 4.

Finally, $96.4 million of 2000B bonds due 2030 were redeemed Dec. 4.
