Covidien buys all $57.95 million of Aspect Medical's 2.5% convertibles

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 14 - Covidien plc announced it bought back all $57.95 million of Aspect Medical Systems, Inc.'s 2.5% convertible senior notes due 2014 in a $58.7 million tender offer that expired on Dec. 11.

Investors received $1,012.43 per $1,000 in notes, which includes interest up to, but not including, the payment date.

U.S. Bank NA was the depository for the bond tender offer.

Aspect, a brain-monitoring technology developer based in Norwood, Mass., became a subsidiary of the Hamilton, Bermuda, health care products company on Nov. 6.
