University of Toledo may tender for series 2005, series 2007B bonds

New York, Oct. 10 - The University of Toledo said it is considering making a tender offer to buy the $49.14 million of general receipt bonds series 2005 issued by the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo and the $49.9 million of general receipt bonds series 2007B issued by the University of Toledo.

If the issuer goes ahead, the tender would be at less than par. The university noted that such a level would be below the redemption price of par if the bonds are called early.

Both series of bonds pay interest at an auction rate.

The University of Toledo was formed from the combination of The Medical College of Ohio at Toledo and The University of Toledo.
