Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to buy tendered certificates from $585.2 million obligations

Tupelo, Miss., Sept. 22 - The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey plans to purchase tendered certificates from $585.2 million outstanding versatile structure obligations beginning Sept. 24 directly from the remarketing agents, according to a notice from the authority.

The authority also may periodically tender any of the purchased certificates to sell.

The certificates that may be purchased or tendered include the $100 million from series 1997 1R, $85.7 million from series 1994 2, $99.5 million from series 1995 3, $100 million from series 1996 4, $100 million from series 1996 5 and $100 million from series 1997 6 versatile structure obligations.
