Mirant buys back $66 million of senior notes due 2011 in third quarter

New York, Nov. 7 - Mirant Americas Generation, LLC purchased and retired an additional $66 million of senior notes due 2011 during the third quarter ended Sept. 30, according to a 10-Q filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The total includes $27 million of notes retired in July.

The company had repurchased $134 million of the notes during the first half of the year.

Mirant is an Atlanta-based energy company.
