JetBlue buys back $53 million of its 3.75% convertibles due 2035

Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 23 - JetBlue Airways Corp. announced that during the quarter it repurchased $53 million of its $250 million 3.75% convertible notes due 2035 for $40 million.

JetBlue repurchased an additional $20 million in notes for $14 million in October.

As a result of these repurchases, JetBlue reduced the outstanding amount of notes to $177 million from $250 million.

The notes have a put date of March 2010.

JetBlue is a New York-based airline.
