Warnaco spends $5.2 million to buy back 8 7/8% notes

Des Moines, Aug. 15 - Warnaco Group, Inc. repurchased $5.0 million principal amount of subsidiary Warnaco Inc.'s $210 million outstanding 8 7/8% senior notes due 2013, according to a 10-Q filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

On June 2, the company paid $5.2 million for the notes in the open market.

As of July 1, $205 million of the notes remained outstanding.

Warnaco is a New York-based apparel company.
