International Shipholding buys back 7¾% notes for $4.1 million

By Laura Lutz

Des Moines, Aug. 10 - International Shipholding Corp. paid $4.1 million to repurchase some of its 7¾% senior notes due 2007 during the second quarter of 2006.

That price included a "small premium" for the notes.

The company said in the filing that it is considering various options to repay the remaining outstanding notes before they mature in October 2007. Those options include repayment with cash generated from operating activities and, if necessary, the use of its available line of credit.

International Shipholding is a New Orleans marine freight company.
