Citizens Communication buys back $22.7 million notes due Aug. 17

Des Moines, Aug. 2 - Citizens Communications repurchased $22.7 million of its notes due Aug. 17 during the second quarter, according to a company release.

The company also bought back $97.3 million of its stock at an average price of $13.16.

Citizens reported second-quarter revenues of $506.9 million, operating income of $169.5 million and net income of $101.7 million.

Citizens is a Stamford, Conn., telecommunications services provider.
