Laidlaw receives tenders of $2.45 million of 10¾% notes
New York, April 5 - Laidlaw International, Inc. said it received tenders of $2.45 million of its 10¾% senior notes due 2011 under its cash tender offer for up to $202 million of the securities.
The repurchase, required under the terms of the note indenture, is for the same amount as the net proceeds from the sale of its healthcare companies after required repayment of bank debt.
The Naperville, Ill., provider of school and inter-city bus transportation and public transit services paid par for the notes plus accrued interest.
Any cash not needed for the tender will be used for general corporate purposes or other permitted uses.
