Primedia calls 7 5/8% notes, series H preferreds

New York, Oct. 3 - Primedia Inc. said it has called for redemption its $146 million principal amount of 7 5/8% senior notes due 2008 and $212 million liquidation preference of series H preferred stock.

Both securities will be redeemed on Oct. 31.

The New York-based targeted media company will pay 101.438% of the liquidation preference for the preferreds plus accrued dividends and 101.271% of the principal amount for the notes plus accrued interest.

Funding for the calls is coming from a new $500 million term loan B and the sale of Primedia Business Information.
