ViroPharma buys back $45.1 million convertibles

New York, Jan. 3 - ViroPharma Inc. said it bought back $45.1 million principal amount of its outstanding 6% convertible subordinated notes due 2007 at an average price of 37.

The Exton, Pa. pharmaceutical company said it now has $134.9 million of the convertibles outstanding.
