Shaw says $280 million LYONs tendered

New York, Nov. 18 - The Shaw Group Inc. said holders tendered $280 million principal amount at maturity, or $190 million accreted value, of its Liquid Yield Option Notes due 2021 in its offer to repurchase the notes.

The figures are based on preliminary information.

Shaw currently has $373 million principal amount, or $253 million accreted value, of the convertibles outstanding.

The tender expired at midnight ET on Monday.

The Baton Rouge, La., provider of consulting, engineering and management services had been offering to buy the LYONs at a price of $675 per $1,000 principal amount at maturity.

Credit Suisse First Boston LLC was dealer manager for the offer (800 646-4543), D.F. King & Co. Inc. was information agent (800 848-3416, banks and brokers call collect at 212 269-5550) and The Bank of New York was the depositary.
